Coronary Heart Disease

Coronary Heart Disease is a condition in which plaque builds up inside the coronary arteries of the heart. These arteries are responsible for supplying your heart muscle with oxygen rich-blood. Plaque is made up of calcium, cholesterol, fat and other substances in the blood. Plaque narrows the arteries and reduces blood flow to your heart, which can result in blood clots and/or heart attack.
