Constipation
Constipation is a condition where a person experiences a lack of bowel movements, or more specifically, less than three times per week. It is among the most common gastrointestinal complaints in the United States and is typically brought on by poor diet. Constipation is not a disease. Increasing one's fiber and fluid intake is one of the best preventative measures one can take to avoid getting constipation. Common over the counter laxatives are effective in treating the condition.
