Colic

Colic is a condition that is marked by excess crying and abdominal pain experienced among infants. A fairly common condition affecting nearly a quarter of all infants, a baby may have colic when they continue to cry after all typical baby needs have been satisfied. Colic is not a dangerous condition and will naturally phase out within a few months. It is still undetermined as to what specifically causes colic. It is believed that indigestion may play a part, and furthermore, results have shown that it is more common among babies born from smoking mothers.
