Chronic Pain
Chronic Pain is pain that persists after treatment, lasting longer than expected. The different types of chronic pain include that experienced by the body's exterior (somatic), pain of the internal organs (visceral pain), pain of the bones or muscles, and headaches. Proper dieting, exercise, and rest can treat some forms of chronic pain. If pain still persists, physical therapy, prescription drugs, such as tricyclic antidepressants and anticonvulsants, as well as surgery are options for treatment.
