Chlamydia

Chlamydia is a common sexually-transmitted disease, affecting either the urethra or cervix in men or women, respectively, resulting in pain, though the symptoms aren't overly apparent, leading to Chlamydia being considered a silent disease. Left untreated, the reproductive organs of women can also be damaged by Chlamydia. Females who are pregnant and have Chlamydia may give birth prematurely. It is advisable for sexually active women to receive regular testing for Chlamydia, due to its silent nature. Prescription antibiotics can be used to treatment Chlamydia.
