Angina

Angina is a condition where the heart receives insufficient amounts of blood, leading to pain and cramping of the chest. It is not a disease, rather it signifies an existing heart problem. There are three kinds of angina: stable, unstable, and variant; each carries different symptoms and requires unique treatments. Stable angina follows a predictable pattern, and thus can be controlled with angina medications. Unstable angina typically precludes a heart attack and must receive immediate curative attention. Lastly, variant angina usually occurs while one is resting and is very treatable.
