Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer's Disease involves the depreciation and destruction of brain cells at an advanced age, resulting in memory loss. Alzheimer's can eventually lead to death. Currently, 5.3 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's and there is no known cure. Drug treatments exist for cognitive (IE Aricept and Exilon), behavioral, and psychiatric forms of the disease (antidepressants and anxiolytics).
