ADHD

ADHD, or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, is a neurobehavioral disorder marked by a person exhibiting hyperactive behavior and possessing an abnormally short attention span. Currently, nearly 10% of all school age children experience ADHD, and results show that boys are more susceptible to ADHD than girls. There are three ADHD subtypes: Inattentive ADHD, which involves the inability to pay attention, forgetfulness, and organizational issues; hyperactive impulsive ADHD, which involves constant fidgeting and excessive verbosity, and lastly, combined ADHD, which features symptoms of both of the aforementioned subtypes.
