Japanese Schizophrenic RX Drug Approved for Use in the U.S

The new oral prescribed medication for adult schizophrenia by Japanese pharmaceutical company, Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma Co Ltd, will be available in early 2011.  The FDA approval on October 28, 2010 will pave the way for Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, Dainippon’s subsidiary based in New Jersey, and its oral anti-psychotic drug Latuda to be sold in the U.S.
