Medical Drugs List Medical Drugs List News - According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, around 50 million patients in the US were left without any form of health insurance at some point last year.

According to reports, more and more people have walked out of their local pharmacy empty handed after seeing the extortionate prices.

Rising Medical Drugs List Costs

In a recent report covered by LocalNews8, the publication notes one example of a victim of expensive medication, Gerry Colvin, a 78 year-old woman from Idaho Falls who has survived breast cancer and three heart attacks, stated that not only was she embarrassed by not being able to afford her medication, but she has also been left scared as to how it might affect her health.

Colvin was quoted as saying that while supplemental insurance and Medicaid help to cover various medical expenses, she is still an estimated $700 out of pocket when it comes to her medication.

LocalNews8 contacted 10 uninsured pharmacies, posing as regular, uninsured customers, and found that prices throughout the chains varied considerably, in some cases by as much as $17. The stores confirmed that prices were set by those in charge at corporate offices.

In a time when medication prices are becoming increasingly expensive, more and more people are turning to Canadian websites – a move which Robert Miller, an owner of a Pharmacy in Blackfoot, claims is unwise.

“Legally in the U.S. its illegal to do that. You cannot ship drugs in from another country,” Miller was quoted as saying. “There's always a danger. I mean how do you know you're getting what you need to get?”

One way of offsetting the increasing cost of medical drugs list expenses is to opt for a prescription discount card, but according to Miller, another method is to have a closer relationship with your local pharmacist.
