Contrary to popular belief, caffeine side effects aren’t necessarily all bad. There seem to be constant news reports on the side effects of caffeine, usually with the implication that caffeine is detrimental to one’s health. Because caffeine is categorized as a drug, it is automatically assumed that any and all side effects are going to be negative. However, reports also show that there is a positive side to using caffeine.
While reports show that there are ups and downs to caffeine, each person will be affected differently by the drug, even though it is not a medicines prescription.
Positive side effects:
· Parkinson’s disease. Many clinical trials have shown that caffeine could assist in deterring the onset of Parkinson’s disease.
· Alertness. Caffeine helps to keep a person’s mind sharp and alert.
· Diabetes. Caffeine assists diabetics by stimulating the production of adrenaline and cortisol, two items that tend to be lacking due to diabetes.
· Heart disease. Clinical trials have shown that caffeine could deter the onset of heart disease.
· Stamina. Caffeine is known to deter adenosine, and, therefore, muscle fatigue.
Negative side effects:
